NACNS President Expresses Concern at Exclusion of CNSs
This announcement has 1 attachment:
On July 26, 2016, NACNS President, Sharon Horner PhD, RN expressed deep disappointment that the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) on Friday July 22, 2016, incorrectly classified clinical nurse specialists (CNSs) once again, categorizing them as general registered nurses instead of as the advanced practice registered nurses (APRNs) that they are.
This press release has stimulated interest of nursing journals and health media in the CNS role. The press release is posted on the NACNS homepage and included as an attachment to this email.
Also, please look for the Special Issue of the NACNS CNS Communique that will be sent on August 1, 2016 and provide more details on this important rulemaking process and how you can be involved.
