ACT NOW! CNS’ Language Included in Bill – Deadline November 14th
Please read this important announcement received this morning from NACNS:
After two years of work, the Title VIII Nursing Workforce Reauthorization Act (H.R. 2713) is scheduled to go to the House floor onMonday, November 14th for a vote. This legislation, supported by NACNS and the Nursing Community Coalition (of which NACNS is a member) is one of a package of seven bills being considered. H.R. 2713 includes language that specifically articulates the availability of Title VIII funding for programs that educate CNS students. The first votes of the day on Monday will be after 6:30 p.m. (ET).
We need your voice to move this critical legislation forward! With the results of the November 2016 election, health care issues may have many additional hurdles, so it is very important that we work to pass this bill in this Congress.
The Nursing Community Coalition is working together to encourage grassroots response in support of passage of this legislation. The American Association of Colleges of Nursing has made their legislative action center available to all Nursing Community members to allow quick and direct communication to your U.S. Representative.
